The second wave of figures urged collectors to “Collect all 20.”
There are a plethera of possible 20 Back versions,
most of them surrounding the
Boba Fett mail away offer.
The card fronts featured some noteable changes:
Kenner discontinued the use of the LP logo, including any re-releases of the original 12.
The Kenner logo was smaller on the new figures, but remained
the original size on the re-releases of the original 12.
The copyright line: ©1977 TWENTIETH CENTURY FOX FILM CORPORATION
was moved from below the Kenner logo at the bottom of the card to between
the word Star Wars and the name badge toward the top of the card.
This change was not made to the re-releases of the original 12 figures.
There were two original versions of the standard 20 Back card (20a & 20b).
The differences being the description and photography
for the Land of the Jawas and Creature Cantina playsets.
Later assortments would release “refresh stickers” with current promotions
to be affixed onto older stock. These stickers would create additional versions
of this cardback not showcased here.
